As I walked home from the grocery store during quarantine in Manila, I took the opportunity to do some street shots. After some distance, I saw a lone rider silently eating on the sidewalk, a motorcycle parked. I subtly took a shot. He noticed and proudly raised his crackers, Skyflakes in particular, a signal for me to take a few more.

Mang Larry, a single parent from Cavite, is a provincial bus driver with the Manila-Leyte route via RoRo. He is one of the millions of Filipinos who lost their jobs because of the quarantine protocols brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. To provide for his two children, he is temporarily working as a delivery man to a ride-hailing service company.
