Every Sunday is Sabbath Day, a day of rest and worship for Christians and Catholics alike. As the world’s 5th largest Christian country and the only predominantly Christian nation in Asia, the Philippines is rich with traditions, and most people are very religious.

Despite the COVID19 threat, people still go to churches wholeheartedly to receive guidance, forgiveness, blessings, and protection from the virus. It is refreshing to see that local police are strictly maintaining the Social Distancing measure at all costs, and everyone is wearing masks.

But we can’t really tell if such measures work in very crowded places like this. What will happen? I don’t know, but what I do know is we have additional 2,995 new cases today, adding up to the country’s total of 304,226.
